Thanks to everyone who came out to the 2011 Freret Street Festival and made it a HUGE success: the attendees, the vendors, the musicians, the sponsors, the volunteers and the Big Easy Roller Girls.
Uptown Messenger has some great photos from the day: click here.
Tomorrow is the day! The weather should be fantastic so come down to Freret Street between Napoleon Avenue and Soniat Street to enjoy great food, live music, crafts, art, jewelry, wearables and more. There will also be pet adoptions, a kid’s activity zone, local organizations and the NHS Homeowners Fair. Stay after for the roller derby exhibition bout by the Big Easy Roller Girls.
Many vendors take credit cards. But for those who don’t, you can use your credit card to purchase Freret Market Money. Freret Market Money is currency consisting of custom-made poker chips that can be purchased and are available in $1, $5, $10 and $20 tokens.
This year’s shirt is all about Freret Street! They will be available in both ladies’ and men’s cut shirts. Come buy yours at the t-shirt booth, at the corner of Freret and Cadiz Streets, near the Zeus’ Place Stage.
There are two FREE parking lots available for Festival parking:
1) On Napoleon Avenue at S Robertson Street
2) On the corner of Magnolia and Cadiz Streets
Please be respectful of our neighbors when parking and don’t park in any parking lots that do not have signage for the Festival.
